It is indeed intense, and the subtle ‘Muscatel’ note in the background lingers even after this Darjeeling tea has cooled down. There is also an enchanting herbaceous taste of the fresh leaves, with surprisingly soft notes on the palate—quite unusual for a high-grown Darjeeling Himalayan tea. This tea represents Darjeeling’s best, plucked during the peak quality period in June.
